Miss H and I became fast friends when I arrived to do her photo shoot. She’s full of beans and we had a great afternoon. Mr & Mrs H – thanks for your patience and I hope you like them!!

Rachel and James were married on a showery day, but they didn’t let a few raindrops dampen their mood and happily dodged the showers by hanging out with their hilarious bridal party in the Hummer limo!
Once again I was thrilled to accompany Shawna Coates.

(PS I do have lots of colour photos!!!)

I know, I know….. I have been awful. Truth be told, with all the field work I have been doing this winter, I haven’t even picked up my camera since the end of December. gasp!!
Fortunately for me, my first subject of the year was the always-photogenic Gus.
And, in a shameless bit of self-promotion, I am thrilled to announce that I am now an independent demonstrator for Stampin Up!. I love love LOVE these products and all the fabulous things you can create with them. Visit my new demonstrator website here!! First workshop to be announced verrrrrry soon; stay tuned.
I’ll leave you with some of my faves of my now 1 year old godson. How time flies!!

On 30th December Hayley and Lewis were married in a beautiful ceremony and I was once again privileged to accompany Shawna Coates as her second shooter. There’s something really special about winter weddings – although it was a tad on the cold side for outside portraits! Congratulations to Hayley & Lewis – I’m sure everyone will agree you make a lovely couple.

This may not be the coldest temperature I have experienced, but it's unusual for December in Calgary...

I love our house on its corner lot, but when you have to spend an hour and a half digging and shovelling snow in -20C, a leeeeeetle regret creeps in!!

Petra hates her booties, but she'd hate frostbitten puppy-dog toes even more!! Plus, I get a kick out of the funny way she walks with them on.
I was delighted to accompany Shawna Coates to Julie & Mike’s wedding just outside Acme on Friday. Despite the sun it was a chilly day and Julie was an absolute trooper, working it for the camera long after my fingers stopped working the camera! It was a beautiful and intimate ceremony on the family farm.
I have been bad at posting recently but I promise there is lots of good stuff to follow, after this selection of my favourites from Friday.
The Jimmy Choos weren’t the most practical choice of footwear for the pre-ceremony shots around the farm, so Julie put on her “shoe-wellies”… a girl after my own heart!

I treated myself to a new lens at the weekend, and I already love it; just don’t ask me why the only subject matter I’ve found so far is poor old Petra, who has never enjoyed having her photo taken. Look at the shallow depth of field, and the sheer amount of light it lets into the camera!! Can’t wait to try it out on more stuff!
Now I know what all the hype is about!! Once I realised how beautiful the Okanagan is (and how many vineyards there were to keep me busy), I got over the fact that we only went there for a footy tournament!

Can you believe Dan let me buy these seat covers for the van? I think he is going soft in his old age!
This one’s for you, Mum:
